Finance Council

The Finance Council meets once per quarter (or as needed) to provide financial recommendations to the pastor and approve the annual budget regarding the use of parish funds for both current operations and special projects. It also instrumental in developing recommendations for the pastor on the future needs of the parish and how to finance these needs.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Parish Finance Council is to steward the financial resources of the parish, to aid the Pastor in the administration of these resources in compliance with universal law and the norms of the Church and to help insure the present and future financial security of the Parish.

How members are chosen
Members of the Finance Council are nominated by the Pastor and the current Finance Council members of St. Charles Borromeo Church. The nominee's selection is based on their being an active, registered member of the parish and their having business or private sector financial experience. The nominees are considered and approved by the Council. The Pastor extends the invitation to the nominated individuals to join the council and if same is willing, appoints. The diocesan bishop appoints the chairperson of the Parish Finance Council based on the nominees presented to him by the Parish Pastor.
