Our Staff
Kel Kissamis, Principal
Professionally, Mr. Kissamis' training began at Northern Illinois University, where he earned both a Bachelor's and Master's Degree, with the latter in Educational Administration.
Mr. Kissamis believes the most important duty has has is to select the very best, well-rounded staff for our children, with the goal ultimately being to choose roles for staff where they may best utilize their strengths in providing an enhanced educational program promoting both academic rigor and an atmosphere of family, vibrant and positive.
Mr. Kissamis will strive to facilitate programs where skilled teachers utilize teamwork and collaboration to challenge students while preparing them for the future, including goals for a solid foundation for college preparation. He looks to providing such leadership regarding the programs and staff here at Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic School, all for the long-term benefit of our students as they develop and grow spiritually, academically, socially and morally.

Mrs. Cynthia Vincent, Director of Religious Education
Cindy was born and raised in Elgin, IL, with parents Arthur and Jean Conro, 1 sister and 2 brothers. She's spent her years living in wide, open spaces filled with God's beauty of nature, finally moving to Hampshire in 2001. Cindy and her husband Steve were married at St. Charles Borromeo in 2003, and currently reside in Hampshire. They are in the middle of a total renovation of their home - their major hobby - and find time to travel and scuba dive.
Cindy has always enjoyed working with the children of our faith and had been a catechist for many years. She attended the two year Ministry Formation program offered by the Diocese of Rockford and was commissioned by Bishop Doran as a Lay Ecclesial Minister in 2005. Cindy completed the one year Catechetical Leadership program and became certified as a Director of Religious Education in 2006.
Mr. Joseph Hahn, Coordinator of Adult Catechesis
Joseph Hahn is our Coordinator of Adult Catechesis and assists Fr. Nnaso and the parish in this capacity. Joe was born about a year after his family moved to Hampshire from Chicago. He was raised on Brier Hill Road, just south of Rt. 72 on a sheep farm. Joe has five brothers and three sisters. His parents, Peter and Nora, and three of his brothers still live in Hampshire. He attended St. Charles Borromeo grammar school and Hampshire High School. Joe received his Bachelor's degree from Franciscan University and later received a MA in Theology and Christian Ministry also from Franciscan. In Joe's own words, "I love our parish very much and hope, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, to assist Fr. Nnaso in creating an ‘evangelizing parish' truly in love with God and each other."
Mrs. Deb Herrmann, Parish Office
Deb is a native Burlington resident for her entire life. She is married to Dale Herrmann and has two grown daughters, 2 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. In 1989, Deb started working as the school secretary. In the summer of 1998, she moved over to the Parish Office and has been there ever since. She most enjoys spending as much time as she can with her family. The parish depends on Deb for everything, from registering new parishioners to handling all the paperwork to being the smiling face that greets you when you come to the office.
